Since purchasing the sailboat in 2013, Touareg has been pampered with meticulous maintenance and numerous upgrades to improve both the boat's performance and cruising comfort. Supporting invoices totaling over $30,000. Touareg is one of five First 235s in America to be equipped with the new performance keel (thin lead keel with bulb).

This sailboat was also refurbished in 2006 by the Boulet et Lemelin shipyard in Quebec, with new side windows and acrylic companionway, a magnificent blue Awlgrip paint job and the restoration of the hull with the application of Interprotect 2000 and Micron CSC antifouling.
